The double-sided adhesive tapes (double-sided tapes) offered by CMC are used for a wide range of applications. They are used for joining, leveling, damping and laminating, also for self-adhesive finishing of films, felts, foams, rubber and papers. They are ideal as double-sided mounting tapes. Double-sided adhesive tapes are always dispensed in the required quantity (unlike liquid adhesives) and are very easy to handle. In series production, you can save time and costs, especially when the double-sided adhesive tapes are processed as die-cut parts. With partially and fully automated dispensing equipment ( Adhesive tape dispenser), considerably shorter cycle times can be achieved than with other fastening methods.

- | CMC 15140 is a polyester resin based transfer film for heat sealing processes. CMC 15140 is a non-tacky adhesive film at room temperature on a transparent polyester carrier film. When heated above approx. 110°C, the adhesive film melts and transfers to the desired surface. When cooled, the surface does not stick. By repeated heating, the adhesive can be melted again and then bonds to a second joining partner. The shear load capacity of the bond is a very good 500 g / 625mm² even at 120°C. |

Double-sided adhesive tapes versus transfer adhesive tapes
CMC Klebetechnik manufactures two different types of double-sided adhesive products. Double-sided adhesive tapes use a carrier to which adhesive is applied on both sides. Transfer tapes, on the other hand, are pure adhesive films without a backing. They are applied, for example, to siliconized paper as an auxiliary backing.

High temperature load
There is an unmanageable amount of double-sided adhesive tapes on the market. Specialized double-sided adhesive tapes are offered for a wide variety of applications, but only a few offer the highest temperature resistance.
Nitto 5005t for repellent surfaces
Polyolefine wie Polypropylen, Polyethylen, Polyamid oder UHMW, aber auch andere abweisende Oberflächen lassen sich nur schwer verkleben. Auch sind nicht in allen Anwendungen die recht teuren Silikonkleber erwünscht. Nitto 5005T ist ein trägerloser Transferklebefilm auf Acrylatbasis, der auch auf solchen Oberflächen gute Haftkraft bietet.
CMC 10430 for difficult surfaces
If you want to bond profiles, die-cutted parts, seals and other products made of silicone, for example, you will not succeed with standard adhesive tapes. The repellent properties of plastics such as polypropylene, polyethylene and silicone prevent sufficient adhesion of the adhesive.
Making silicones self-adhesive
Making silicone sealing profiles, silicone papers and silicone films self-adhesive is not easy. This is because the repellent material is hardly compatible with most adhesives. An adhesive tape now makes this possible in a simple, process-safe and reliable way.
